← Back to All Services

Australia's foreign-investment framework is administered by the Australian Treasury and the Australian Taxation Office, with the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) advising the Treasurer, who is the formal decision-maker. Depending on the proposed investment, notification or approval may be required before the transaction proceeds.

Interise Legal can assist foreign investors with:

  • Determining whether a proposed investment requires notification or approval under the Foreign Acquisitions and Takeovers Act 1975
  • Preparing and lodging foreign-investment applications with Treasury or the Australian Taxation Office
  • Advice on conditions attached to approvals and ongoing compliance obligations
  • Residential real-estate applications administered by the Australian Taxation Office

Interise Legal can provide assistance and advice regarding matters of foreign investment in Australia. We have solicitors with extensive experience in this field and clients that rely on the firm's advisory capacity to facilitate growth of their assets in this country.
